We had a wonderful time at Les Fontanelles. After a warm welcome from Marleen and Bert we spent a week in the spotless and fully equipped gite surrounded by nature. The spacious swimming pool and the nearby charming villages gave us a lovely holiday. The children were absolutely thrilled by the many animals they spotted on the grounds: deer, a badger, even the local harmless grass snake ("couleuvre") and the freedom itself. Definitely a recommendation from us!

We were warmly welcomed by the owners. The gite is tastefully furnished with care and a good eye for detail. The four of us enjoyed the many amenities, such as a beautiful bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lovely bedrooms and wonderful terraces (one of which is nestled under the trees with a beautiful view over the valley.) The swimming pool is perfect for doing laps. For us, it's a place where you quickly feel "at home" and which we look back on with great pleasure.

Peace, space, comfort and hospitality. These are truly the key words for Les Fontanelles. The gite has thought of everything, your holiday starts right away. Everything is clean, neat and complete. The view over the valley is beautiful, we saw and heard the birds of prey circling above the valley. The swimming pool is wonderful! In the deck chairs, under the trees in the shade, you can lie all day long. There is plenty to see in the surrounding area. True, you have to drive a bit for it, but the drive is enjoyable in itself. Marleen and Bert, what a beautiful spot you have and how hospitable you are. We have wonderful memories of Les Fontanelles!

Despite the mediocre weather, we had an excellent time in the beautiful Gites and the fantastic surroundings. The charming French villages still breathe their original atmosphere. If you love walking and cycling, you'll find plenty to satisfy your heart here. Bert and Marleen's Farm is secluded and surrounded by peace and quiet; yet not so remote that you can't easily visit attractions like Albi and Cordes sur Ciel. If you appreciate tranquility and an authentic French atmosphere, you'll be very happy here. The welcome is very friendly and the Gites is very well equipped with good beds

In October 2014 we discovered this wonderful place via the internet and by now we've been there a second time in June. Les Fontanelles is located right in the middle of nature; meadows, forests, water; everything can be found in the surroundings. Cities and villages of great beauty. Never very far away…. Cordes-sur Ciel, perched high on a mountain, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val; beautifully situated on the L'Aveyron; little villages where many artists live, where it's lovely with terraces, shops and streets with beautiful houses and impressive architecture from ages past. And then larger places like Rodez with the Soulages museum; very much worth a visit and Albi has an impressive cathedral with wealth from long-gone times and the special Toulouse-Lautrec museum. These are charming little towns where you can spend hours! And then Les Fontanelles itself. The hospitality of Marleen and Bert; the perfect care of the house; the surprise in the refrigerator; the furnishings - in our long career of renting cottages, we've never experienced anything so good and complete - a cozy, atmospheric house with comfortable furniture and good beds! The beautiful trees and the terrace, where you can enjoy a lovely breakfast in the morning sun and a glass of wine in the evening sun. And then the peace and quiet… for us it's a Golden Spot! Hello Marleen and Bert, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your gite. The peace and quiet, the nature, the beautiful grounds, the swimming pool and of course the house itself really appealed to us. It's truly a place to properly unwind. We felt at home immediately, everything has been thought of to get your holiday off to a great start the moment you arrive, not least thanks to the warm welcome. The house is very comfortable and completely furnished, the view from the terrace is beautiful and when you sit in the garden you can hear the woodpeckers busy in the trees right above your head. There's plenty to do in the area, sometimes you have to drive a bit for it but that's no hardship, thanks to the beautiful, varied landscape and the nice, old towns you pass through. Furthermore, there's plenty of walking and/or cycling to be done nearby. You gave us plenty of tips for nice excursions. If you're a lover of nature, peace and authentic France, you've come to the right place with you. In any case, we've already booked again for next year. We'd love to come back here again.
